In September of 2016 in a New York City apartment on the Upper Eastside, with my bestie Ryan I found out that I was going to be a Mom. I was up in the city working fashion week, just kind of “living my best life” you could say, but I just knew something was different.

Before I found out about Greyson I had everything planned, I almost had the hubs convinced to move to New York City. I had actually interviewed for my dream job 2 weeks prior to finding out about Grey. But let me tell you something, becoming a Mom to a sweet boy has rocked my world in ways I can’t even begin to explain to you. I have always longed for a daughter to dress up because, well duh, little girl clothes are the best, but I took on the personal challenge of cultivating the most adorable clothing collection for Grey super serious. Mama’s it is totally doable to make your little guy as stylish as you want to, just gotta put in a little extra effort than a girl Mom has too.

All this to say I was just so beyond sure that I knew exactly what my world was going to look like, including when I would become a Mom. I learned that the old saying is true, “life is what happens when you are busy making plans”. God brought Greyson into my life exactly when he was suppose to be there. Because of that I have been constantly striving to find new avenues to live out my dreams of work and Mom life. 

Sometimes it feels like I falter, but then I go out and work jobs that make me feel like a rock star. 

This past spring I went back to New York City and worked the Met Gala again, doing this required me to leave my sweet 11 month old with my AMAZING husband for a week and a half (I was lucky to have then with me for the first week of my job). I think it was the best thing I could have done for myself, one of my co- workers told me, “you becoming a Mom has been the best thing ever for you, you are a total Boss now and just excel beyond in your work”. I remembered thinking that right there is everything, it shows that as women we can do it all! Here’s to my sweet Grey babe for making me work even harder for all my dreams and showing me a life I never knew existed until you. Love you sweet boy!
